
Layout for a scientific background study (Ethnopharmacology, Pharmacognosy, African Traditional Knowledge and Medicine) for the documentary “One Life After Nature” on traditional treatment of pre-mature birth in Africa, a project by South African director Sifiso Nkhosinati Nobela. It is an African story revealing an aspect of truth about Mankind connected to Nature, revealing the natural herb healing system, disclosing the hidden stories about premature birth in Africa and around the world. Premature birth has always had a particular symbolic strength in most cultures. How this issue has been dealt with, what are the traditions, medical and religious practices, symbolism and ethics that arose from it give us a view on how cultures see their place on Earth and Life and on a corpus of knowledge that ancient and primal tradition have preserved until today.
